Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

That depends. When you request a quote we will get in touch to make a viewing appointment. We will then take a quick look around your home (number of rooms, layout, size etc) and provide an on-the-spot quote.

But don't worry there's no obligation. You can then have as much time as you want to think about it and get back to us. Once you give us the go-ahead we will schedule in a cleaning date and time - either as a one-off or on a regular basis.

How do I pay?

It's easy and convenient. You simply give us your bank or credit card details (which we treat in the strictest of security and confidentiality at all times) and we debit the amount off your card each time.

How long does each clean take?

Again that depends. We don't quote on time, we quote on job. So, you will pay the same price every time regardless of how many cleaners or how long it takes. This gives you consistency and also puts the onus back on HouseWorks to get the done properly and efficiently.

Can I have a trial period?

A trial period isn't really required as you can cancel your HouseWorks service at any time. Just call us up. There's no obligation with a regular clean to continue the service - but if there is anything you're not happy with, please tell us as we will always try to resolve or improve rather than lose you as a valued customer.

Can I get a quote first?

Yes of course! Either click on our get a quote section and fill in your details or call us today on 0845 643 4690. We will then book an appointment with one of our team. They will then take a quick look around your home (number of rooms, layout, size etc) and provide an on-the-spot quote.

What about a key - or access to my property if I'm out at work?

That's not a problem. We hold keys to most of our customers' homes as a lot of them work full time. It goes without saying - we will handle keys in the best interests of security and discretion at all times. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to be at home when our cleaners visit that's fine too.

How can I trust your cleaners?

Because our interview, training and vetting procedures help ensure our staff are all highly dependable, careful, discreet and trustworthy. This is a high priority of ours and one we take very seriously. We have a reputation as one of the best home cleaning services so do everything within our power to keep it that way.

Are they insured?

Yes - fully. Unlike many private cleaners, our staff are all fully insured so in the event of an accident in your home - you can rest assured HouseWorks will take care of everything.

Are your products environmentally friendly?

HouseWorks take their social responsibility seriously and we are always striving to improve our 'carbon footprint'. As a result we go as far as possible to use products that don't impact the environment in a negative way. We are still working on it though - as with many companies we view this as an ongoing concern so watch this space!
